# Troubleshooting

## Bookmark crawling didn’t work

Please make sure that the URL is public and accessible. We can't crawl private or not accessible URLs, probably a nice feature to add in the future. :p
If you believe it was a mistake, you may click the three dots at the bottom right corner of the bookmark and click *"Refresh"* to try again.

We try to crawl and summarize bookmarks at least three times with a backoff strategy before giving up.

## Bookmark preview image is missing

This can happen for multiple reasons. We try `og:image` first; if unavailable, a headless browser screenshots the page.
If all attempts fail, a placeholder image is used. As above, you can refresh the bookmark to try again.

## Stuck at crawling or summarizing

This should be rare. If you see a job stuck at crawling or summarizing, contact support so we can investigate.
